Henderson Pounds 2 Homers in 5-3 Orioles Win
|
Orioles third baseman Gunnar Henderson left his mark on his team's 5-3 win over the Cleveland Guardians. Henderson, who finished 4th in the AL in RBI with 120 in 2027, went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for Baltimore in the contest. Felix Bautista, who finished 4th in the AL in saves with 43 in 2024, nailed down the save. The triumph makes Baltimore 19-11, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 2029.
Baltimore took a 4-3 lead on Jackson Holliday's 8th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Holliday hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Cleveland pitcher Dillon Tate visibly frustrated.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Henderson told the Baltimore Herald.
