|
Arizona Diamondbacks starter Aaron Civale pitched a strong game against the Colorado Rockies at Chase Field, leading the Diamondbacks to victory, 5-3. Ryne Nelson earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 5-5. The second-place Diamondbacks have won 4 consecutive games.
The Diamondbacks got a big at-bat from first baseman Deyvison De Los Santos. For the game, De Los Santos went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 34th home run of the season gave Arizona a 4-3 lead.
