Reds Over Cardinals, 6-5
|
The Cincinnati Reds dealt the St. Louis Cardinals a 6-5 loss at Busch Stadium. Chase Baliey was the star on offense. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Cincinnati reliever Donovan Benoit picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Griffin Canning absorbed the loss. The setback makes St. Louis 67-70.
Cristian Pache, who is a two-time Great Glove Award winner, helped out the Cincinnati cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 4 with a double.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Baliey told the Cincinnati Observer.
