Wild Card Series Goes the Distance, Miami Prevails
|
In a series that had a little bit of everything, the Miami Marlins have edged the Washington Nationals.
The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested Wild Card Series, with a 10-6 win in the clincher being the difference for Miami and giving them the ticket to the Division Series with a 2-1 series triumph.
"We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Bob Harbaugh, who was named series MVP.
For the series, Harbaugh hit .500 with a .533 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Division Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
