5-Hit Blitz by Ruiz
Friday, June 29th , 2046
The Minnesota (DSL) Twins stopped the Cleveland (DSL) Indians by a score of 9-3 at Academia de Prospecto Complex, with the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder Danny Ruiz. The 20-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Ruiz said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Ruiz did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Indians.
"Not much that I can say," offered Cleveland (DSL) manager Max Russell. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Danny Ruiz singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This season, Ruiz has banged out 12 hits in 32 at-bats for a .375 average with no home runs. He is getting on base at a .462 pace and his totals also include 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
