Monday, September 23rd , 2047
He may have less experience than most of his Arizona Rookie League peers, but that didn't slow Jaquan Scoggins down at all in 2047.
At the age of 21, the Kansas City (AZL) second baseman has been named the winner of the Arizona Rookie League Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .408 batting average and a .494 on-base percentage this year. In 53 games he piled up 86 hits, 9 doubles, 3 triples, 19 home runs, 57 RBIs and 54 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 14. Jared Priest of the Cleveland (AZL) Indians finished second in voting, while Felix Sierra of the Kansas City (AZL) Royals finished third.
