FSL Player of the Week Goes to Sfeir of Lakeland Monday, April 29th , 2041 Lakeland Flying Tigers second baseman Joe Sfeir walked away with the Florida State League Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Flying Tigers fans are really behind me right now," said the 26-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Sfeir batted .560 (14-for-25) with 1 home run and 7 RBIs this week on his way to the award. Thus far this season, Sfeir is hitting .389 with 2 home runs, 19 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 28 hits in 72 at-bats and has played in 17 games. |
