Lake Elsinore Moves on to Round 2 Wednesday, September 12th , 2046 The Lake Elsinore Storm and Rancho Cucamonga Quakes put on a classic Round 1 that was in question until the final game. In the end, Lake Elsinore won the deciding contest by a score of 7-2, to take the series 4-3. "It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Devin Stevenson, who earned series MVP honors for Lake Elsinore. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now." For the series, Stevenson hit .500 with a .613 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 7 runs. The Lake Elsinore Storm will play against the San Jose Giants in the next round. San Jose won their series against the Modesto Nuts 4 games to 2.
