Kelley Tops CAL Best Player List

Jeff Kelley took California League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 26.
For his spectacular campaign, the Inland Empire 66ers star has been named the 2047 California League Most Valuable Player Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the first baseman.
On the season he compiled a .393 batting average to go with a .466 on-base percentage. The native of Columbus, Georgia also added 26 doubles, 2 triples, 22 home runs, 88 RBIs and 90 runs scored.
He received 6 first place votes out of a possible 8. Joe Shortslef of the Inland Empire 66ers finished second in voting, while Dohm-Phu Kieu of the Stockton Ports finished third.
