Season Over for David Gutierrez in Iowa Saturday, July 28th , 2046 "I'm frustrated right now," said Iowa reliever David Gutierrez. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Cubs, that's where he will be spending 4-5 months. Gutierrez suffered a torn back muscle in today's game against Omaha while throwing a pitch. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be." Gutierrez has compiled an ERA of 4.78 so far this season, winning 1 games with 4 losses and 1 save. In 22 relief appearances he has hurled 26.1 innings, yielded 26 hits and struck out 26.
