August's Best PC Hurler is Ruelas Saturday, September 1st , 2040 In August, the top-rated pitcher in the Pacific Conference was a reliever. It's not a common occurrence, but it does happen occasionally. The Sacramento River Cats fine hurler, Victor Ruelas stood out so much that he was picked the best Pitcher of the Month by the Pacific Conference. The River Cats bullpen ace was brilliant with no saves in no relief appearances, a 4-1 won-lost mark and 2.92 ERA. He worked 37 innings, allowed 33 hits, struck out 41 and walked 7.
