Los Angeles's Perez Sidelined for Season Friday, September 14th , 2040 The Los Angeles Angels were dealt a severe blow when Johnny Perez was hurt making a defensive play recently in a game against the Houston Astros. After the game, the team trainer reported Perez might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 29-year-old right fielder out for the rest of the season with an oblique strain. They indicated it would take Perez at least 4 weeks to heal. Currently Perez has 40 home runs and a .261 batting average. |
