Royals Blank Orioles, Frey Winner Saturday, July 28th , 2040 Joachim Frey held the Baltimore Orioles to 5 hits and fashioned a fine 4-0 shutout at Oriole Park at Camden Yards today. Speaking after the game, Kansas City Royals manager Ryokan Kobayashi said "Frey had everything going for him today. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement. He was masterful." Frey rung up 8 strikeouts and surrendered 3 walks in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Baltimore manager Dan Fiorito told reporters. On the season Frey has compiled a 8-8 mark with a 4.15 ERA in 21 starts. In pitching 141 innings he has 114 strikeouts and 40 walks while limiting the opposition to a .272 batting average.
