Wheatland Reliever Out Friday, April 22nd, 2022 Luis Rubio is doubtful to make the playoffs this year, according to sources within the Wheatland organization. Although the injury was initially thought to be not serious, tests have revealed the player will be out up to 10 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. The 15-year-old reliever suffered the injury throwing a pitch in a recent game against the San Angelo Central Bobcats. This season in 8 relief appearances Rubio has thrown 8.1 innings and collected 3 saves. His won-lost record is 1-1 with a 7.56 ERA. |
