Green Tags 3 HR Against Raiders Friday, April 8th, 2022 At Field of the Manatees today, Elijah Green hit homer after homer after homer. But they didn't add up to enough to beat the Walton Raiders as the Naperville North Huskies went down to defeat, 14-13. "It was a good game for me, not so good for our team," the Naperville North third baseman said. "I got lucky. I made some good swings on some pitches. We just didn't put up one in the win column." On his monumental day, he had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 9 runs, and scored 3 times. "The third one was totally unexpected," Green told reporters after his extraordinary game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get another home run and bang, I got number three." Elijah Green grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Pat Shannon in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Art Pakalîn in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Freddie Sutton in the 9th. This year Green is batting .285 with 16 home runs. He has scored 45 runs and driven in 51. |
