Division Series Goes the Distance, Joliet Catholic Academy Prevails Sunday, April 24th, 2022 With a narrow 3-2 series win, the Joliet Catholic Academy Hilltoppers have eliminated the Mission Viejo Diablos and are Division Series winners. "We tried not to look ahead to the League Championship Series, but we thought we'd be there for sure," said second baseman Benny Koziol, who was named series MVP. Joliet Catholic Academy won the final game by a score of 7-6, wrapping it up at Sox Ballpark. Koziol's big series saw him hit .350 with a .458 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Joliet Catholic Academy Hilltoppers will play against the South Dade Buccaneers in the next round. South Dade won their series against the Eagles Landing Christian Academy Chargers 3 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
