Scorpions Heading to Division Series Sunday, April 17th, 2022 Andy Albers did all he could to help guide his team into the next round of the playoffs, but it wasn't enough. Albers was named MVP in a losing cause, as the Farmington Scorpions defeated his Archbishop Molloy Stanners by a score of 6-1 at Desperados Stadium. "I want to be going on to the Division Series and I couldn't care less about getting the MVP in a loss," he said. For their part, the Scorpions were overjoyed to get the win despite the big performance from Albers. "Albers played great, but in the end we got the win," said Scorpions manager Phil Nevin. "That's all anyone is going to remember." The Farmington Scorpions will play against the Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans in the next round. Wesleyan Christian Academy won their series against the Pinecrest Patriots 1 game to 0. The Division Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes. View Boxscore |
