3-HR Dream Game for Soliz Friday, April 1st, 2022 Alex Soliz added his name in the record books after an explosive home run spree against the Currituck County Knights. But despite joining the select list of sluggers to hit three home runs in a game, it didn't guarantee a victory. The Hidden Valley Mustangs fell to the Knights, 23-17. In his big day at Ballpark of North Las Vegas HS, the Hidden Valley left fielder went 3-for-6 with 6 RBIs and scored 3 times. "It was just one of those days," he told BNN sportswriters in the postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball. "You would think three homers would win most games. It was good to hit 'em, but a win would have really made my day." Alex Soliz grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ben Sutherland in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Eddie Pool in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Eddie Pool in the 8th and walked in the 9th. So far on the season Soliz is hitting .336 with 17 home runs, 49 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has 40 hits and played in 28 games. |
