Bernard Shackles Houston in 3-1 Mariners Win
|
The Seattle Mariners picked up a win at T-Mobile Park, courtesy of Josh Bernard. The right-hander helped his team stop the Houston Astros, 3-1. With the win, Seattle boosts its record to 13-13.
Bernard, a native of Placentia, California, was dealing all game. He kept Houston hitters off-balance, while giving the Mariners 7 quality innings. Bernard threw 112 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 13.
"Josh just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Seattle manager Owen Spiwak.
