Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays.

The Boston Red Sox locked up a win at Fenway Park, knocking off the Tampa Bay Rays, 6-4. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Josh Kolb. He played a major role in the triumph. The win was credited to Shaun Augeri in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Jeff Vaughan took the loss. Billy Cash picked up the save for Boston, his 5th of the year.

Boston went up, 4-3, on Juan Barrientos's 1st double of the season. The 2-run double, which Barrientos hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Tampa Bay pitcher Jeff Vaughan feeling irked.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Kolb.

Tampa Bay drops to 10-11.
