Good production from right fielder Bernie Arritola helped the Pittsburgh Pirates topple the Milwaukee Brewers, 11-5. Arritola went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Pirates. Eric Franks got the win, improving to 2-1. He worked 7.2 innings, giving up 3 runs on 13 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 0. The Brewers, now 5-12, continue their sluggish start.

Pittsburgh used a clutch at-bat from Jonathan Reyna to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Pirates ahead, 6-3. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said Arritola.
