White Sox Deal Red Sox 6-3 Loss
|
Chicago White Sox starter Dan McKean pitched a strong game against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, leading the White Sox to victory, 6-3. Chicago reliever Steve Zalenski got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Kevin Donovan was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was Manny Vargas, his 1st.
Billy Teasdale provided a timely hit. The Chicago designated hitter delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the White Sox on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Teasdale.
With the win, Chicago boosts its record to 2-6.
