Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Rays
Rays designated hitter Jim Fausett put his stamp on his team's 7-3 win over the Boston Red Sox. Fausett went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Tampa Bay in the contest. Kevin Rein got the save, his 3rd in 3 chances. Tampa Bay raised its record to 78-66 with the win.

Fausett had a timely hit for Tampa Bay in the top of the eighth. With Boston trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-0 curveball into a 3-run home run. It was his 30th home run of the season, making it 5-3, Tampa Bay.

Fausett called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
