Milwaukee Makes Chicago 6-2 Losers
|
The Milwaukee Brewers stymied the Chicago Cubs, 6-2, at Wrigley Field. Pat Holder had a good day at the plate. He went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Milwaukee. The winner in relief was Jim LeMaster. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 2-2. Milwaukee's record now stands at 72-61, placing them first in the National League Central Division.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Tim Albritton? The Milwaukee center fielder had a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put the Brewers on top, 2-1. For the game, Albritton had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Holder attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
