Reds Earn 3-2 Win Versus Mets
The New York Mets got a superb performance from pitcher Ricky Santana, but the Cincinnati Reds still won the game, 3-2. Santana threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Marc McPartland nailed down his 14th save. The Reds move to 50-52 with the win, while the Mets drop to 56-47.

Cincinnati used the clutch hitting of Marcus Barnes to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Reds ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said New York manager Darwin Barney. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
