Royals Prevail, 2-1, Over Miami
|
In a low-scoring clash between Kansas City and Miami, pitcher Jeff Brazell was a difference-maker. The left-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 win. Brazell, now 6-8, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing no runs. The last-place Royals now have a win-loss record of 43-54.
Willie Seda had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the ninth for Kansas City. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Kansas City in front, 2-0.
Seda attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
