7-6 Milwaukee Win Thrills Crowd
|
Miller Park played host to some high drama.
Milwaukee starter Kory Woods turned in a competent performance at Miller Park as the Brewers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 7-6. Milwaukee reliever Phil Mendonca was the winner. His record is now 3-1. The losing pitcher was Jon Benson.
The Brewers got a clutch hit from shortstop Josh Anderson. In the bottom of the 16th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Brewers.
"We saved our best for last," said Woods.
Milwaukee, now 40-54, holds down 4th place in the National League Central Division.
