Martin Now 10-6 After Subduing Royals
|
Cleveland and Kansas City played a hard-fought contest.
Cleveland Indians pitcher Jon Martin was in fine form, leading his team past the Kansas City Royals, 3-1. The win elevated the Indians to 53-40.
Martin was effective against the Royals, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Kansas City to just 1 run on 2 hits over 8 innings.
"Jon just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Cleveland manager Jason Chowning.
