7-6 Reds Win over Brewers Evens Season Record
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Cincinnati Reds eventually prevailed.
The Cincinnati Reds picked up a win at Miller Park, knocking off the Milwaukee Brewers, 7-6. Starting pitcher Jody Cusumano was a big reason why. At 37-37, the Reds find themselves in third place in the National League Central Division.
Cincinnati relied on the hitting of Danny Becerra to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Reds on top, 7-4. For the game, Becerra had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Jody was pounding the zone," said Cincinnati manager Bobby Wernes.
