Diamondbacks Pull Even With 3-1 Victory
|
The Arizona Diamondbacks got a magnificent performance from pitcher Joe Britton, who stifled the Texas offense en route to a 3-1 Diamondbacks win at Chase Field. Arizona, now 37-37, holds down second place in the National League West Division.
In the bottom of the seventh, Arizona left fielder Jeremy Nordberg hit a 2-run single to center field. The clutch hit made it, 3-1, Diamondbacks.
"Every loss stings," said Texas manager Ryan Z. Braun. "This one is no exception."
