Critical Game 5 Goes to Host Twins, 12-4
The Minnesota Twins moved to within one game of the World Series, downing the visiting Los Angeles Angels at Target Field by a score of 12-4. Twins left fielder Brad Putney did some major damage. He went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The win gives the Twins a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

Putney contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Minnesota get the win.

"This was one of those games you love to be a part of," said Putney.

Game 6 is scheduled for Monday at Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim.
