Wolfe, Reds Beat Mariners, 10-5
|
The Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
In the 10-5 Cincinnati win over Seattle, the impact of Chad Wolfe was substantial. Wolfe, who led the AL in stolen bases with 39 in 2030, went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 4. Alan Handzel closed the game out for Cincinnati, earning his 12th save.
Danny Becerra, the 2039 NL batting champion , had a direct impact on the outcome. Becerra contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Cincinnati up, 2-1.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Bobby Wernes said.
Cincinnati is now riding a 3-game win streak.
