Washington Blisters Hudson Valley
Who needs batting practice? Apparently not Tri-City ValleyCats second baseman Donovan Washington, who missed the team's pre-game session at Dutchess Stadium but peppered the Hudson Valley Renegades for 5 hits come game time. The ValleyCats went on to grab the 12-10 win.

"I was late to the park and I wasn't sure coach was even going to keep me in the lineup," he told the press after the game. "Maybe I should skip BP more often."

Donovan Washington hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

This year, Washington is hitting .358 with 3 home runs.
