Seattle Beats Oakland 4-0, Barron Ks 15
|
Manny Barron of the Seattle Mariners put on a pitching clinic today at T-Mobile Park as he struck out 15 Oakland Athletics in a 4-0 victory. Barron, who is tied for 4th in the AL with a 11.1 K/9 rate, was simply magnificent as he held the Athletics to 4 hits. He walked 3.
"I felt okay at the beginning," Barron said, "but eventually my fastball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."
When asked about Barron's performance, Mariners manager Owen Spiwak shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
On the season Barron has 6 wins and 3 losses and a 3.76 ERA.
