Reese Slaps 5 Hits
It was almost a perfect day for Chris Reese.

The New York A (DSL) third baseman displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Yankees lost to the Texas (DSL) Rangers, 12-7. Reese told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle."

New York A (DSL) manager Jackson Mateo told the beat writers otherwise.

"There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well."

Chris Reese doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
