Coblah Slams 5 Hits for Botshabelo
After a 5-hit effort to lead Botshabelo's 6-4 victory over the Johannesburg Canucks, left fielder Tim Coblah told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the South Africa Baseball-level is really something special."

The 25-year-old player earned his accolades today at Canucks Stadium with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Canucks.

"His swing is getting there," said Legion skipper Alan Phillips, who spoke glowingly of Coblah after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Tim did that to perfection today."

Tim Coblah singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

So far this season Coblah has gotten 60 hits in 225 at-bats for a .267 batting average with 9 home runs. His stats include 36 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has played in 87 games.
