Milwaukee Drops New York, 6-0

The Milwaukee Brewers went home winners at Citi Field, thanks in large part to starter Mike Bradshaw. Bradshaw stifled the New York Mets, enabling Milwaukee to grab the 6-0 win. Bradshaw, now 3-5, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Milwaukee now sits at 23-27, while New York falls to 30-21.
The Mets had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Brewers going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Eric Brunner came to the plate. Brunner hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch slider from New York hurler Mike Bonadona. It was Brunner's 7th double of the year.
Brunner attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
