Tabata Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
Benoni Red Sox second baseman Masayoshi Tabata had a day to remember at Red Foxes Stadium, ripping apart the Vereeniging Red Foxes and sparking the 6-2 Red Sox win.

Tabata wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5.

"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Tabata told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."

Masayoshi Tabata singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
