Moran 5-for-6 Against Rangers
Alex Moran was at the head of a Pittsburgh (DSL) hit parade at Pittsburgh Pirates Complex. The center fielder went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Pirates to a nice 15-13 victory over the Texas (DSL) Rangers.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Moran told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

Rangers skipper Anthony Armenio said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Alex Moran doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jeremy Molnar in the 8th.

In his season totals, Moran has 3 home runs, .292 BA, .320 OBP, 7 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has played in 21 games.
