Knutson Jr. Finds Groove in 6-1 Cincinnati Triumph
|
San Francisco had no answer for two-time All-Star Max Knutson Jr.. The Cincinnati Reds starter stymied Giants hitters, helping the Reds cruise to victory, 6-1. The Reds go to 15-23 with the win.
Knutson Jr. was effective against the Giants, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited San Francisco to just 1 run on 4 hits over 9 innings.
"Max set the tone with his ability to attack the hitters," said Cincinnati manager .
