Tampa Bay Rays starter Chris Calderone was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the New York Mets, 3-1. Calderone, now 5-3, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Manny Morales recorded the save, his 4th.
Eric Barr, the 31-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Barr contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Tampa Bay up, 3-1.
