Tornabene Goes on Rampage Against Shorebirds
|
It was high-fives all around for Noidis Tornabene at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium today.
He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Delmarva Shorebirds. Tornabene smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 5-3 win.
"Noidis was hitting everything," said Crawdads manager Anthony Defabbia. "It really was a special game for him."
In the opposing dugout, Shorebirds manager Carlos Luis told BNN beat writers that Tornabene "ambushed" the club.
"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Tornabene oversleeps next time."
Noidis Tornabene singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Tornabene is currently hitting at a .429 pace with no home runs, 6 RBIs and has scored 5 times.
