Voyagers Move on to League Championship Series Thursday, October 21st , 2021 The Great Falls Voyagers are one step closer to winning the World Series. With a series-clinching 1-0 win tonight at Staten Island Grounds, the Voyagers have eliminated the New Britain Rock Cats in the Division Series by a score of 3-1. "I'm excited for the League Championship Series. We'll celebrate this one for a short time, but then it's back to business," said Alek Jacob, who was dominant on the mound and earned Division Series MVP honors. "One step closer, one game at a time. We can't get ahead of ourselves." Jacob had a 0.00 ERA over 6 innings pitched in the series. He also added 7 strikeouts with a 2-0 record. The Great Falls Voyagers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Winston-Salem Valley Cats - Henderson Velocity series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes. |
