Little Rock Wins Round 1 Monday, September 6th , 2021 The fans in Little Rock are celebrating the Rollers victory over the Williamsport Pups in the Round 1. They defeated the Williamsport Pups 3-2 in the finale played at Jayhawks Ballpark to capture the series 3-1. Fred Brown was chosen the series' Most Valuable Player. The Rollers left fielder batted .235, drove in 5 runs and scored 3 runs in the series. "The Pups are a good club and I don't mean any disrespect to their pitching staff, but things just felt easy this series," Brown said. "Everything at the plate seemed right." The Little Rock Rollers will play against the San Juan Coquis in the next round. San Juan won their series against the Birmingham Barons 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
