Win Makes Hogtowners 87-74
|
The Toronto Hogtowners weathered a fine game by Philadelphia left fielder Bryce Harper to upend the Keystones, 8-3, at Keystone Stadium. Harper belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. After today's action, Toronto sits at 87-74; Philadelphia slips to 85-76.
Toronto relied on the hitting of Tripp Martin to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Hogtowners on top, 4-3. For the game, Martin had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"The most important thing is that we won," Martin said.
