Empire Builders Lose By a Run at Mexico City, 6-5
With third baseman Brendan Donovan leading the charge, the Mexico City Tigers defeated the Minnesota Empire Builders, 6-5, at Tigers Ballpark. Donovan went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win belongs to Luke Weaver in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Bryan Abreu took the loss for Minnesota. The Tigers go to 54-82 with the win.

Donovan contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Mexico City in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 5-3, Donovan took a fastball from Bryan Abreu and stroked the home run to right-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Tigers to leap in front, 6-5.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Donovan said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
