Hogtowners Absorb 1-0 Loss at Keystone Stadium
|
The Philadelphia Keystones beat the Toronto Hogtowners, 1-0, at Keystone Stadium. Starting pitcher Jose Urquidy was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Urquidy got the win, improving to 9-4. He allowed 4 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Urquidy allowed no runs. The victory gives Philadelphia a record of 62-56.
The Keystones got a big at-bat from left fielder Masayuki Kuwahara. For the game, Kuwahara was 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Philadelphia a 1-0 lead.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Urquidy told the Philadelphia Citizen.
