Tigers Rally to Nose Past San Diego
Mexico City picked up a win at Tigers Ballpark, bumping off the San Diego Seals, 2-1. Pitcher Roki Sasaki was a major reason the Tigers emerged victorious. Mexico City reliever Jose Castillo picked up the win, raising his record to 3-0. Rube Waddell was tagged with the loss. Trevor Stephan earned the save for Mexico City, his 11th of the year.

Mexico City took the lead, 2-1, on Fielder Jones's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off San Diego pitcher Rube Waddell in the bottom of the eighth.

Jones attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."

The Tigers raised their record to 36-27.
