7-4 Loss to Stevedores Extends Kansas City Losing Streak
The rain did not keep Cleveland and Kansas City from finishing their game.

The Cleveland Stevedores picked up a win at Monarchs Ballpark, downing the Kansas City Monarchs, 7-4. On the mound for Cleveland was right-hander Zac Gallen, who played a pivotal role in the win. Edwin Diaz, credited with the save, is now 20 for 24 in save opportunities.

Cleveland won the game in part because of Josh Naylor. The left fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Stevedores ahead, 2-0. For the game, Naylor had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Gallen said.

Cleveland has now won 4 in a row.
