Dukes Deal Flyers 11-8 Defeat
|
The Brooklyn Dukes defeated the St. Louis Flyers, 11-8. Doing his part was first baseman Munetaka Murakami, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Joe McGinnity was the winner. He's now 5-6. The loser was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Kyle Bradish. The win puts Brooklyn at 24-44.
Roy A Thomas, the Brooklyn left fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to make the score 9-5, Dukes. For the game, Thomas was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Thomas told the Brooklyn Daily.
